As you can tell, I'm only five rounds through my 8-man Yahoo points league draft. There are 25 rounds and the scoring is this: Runs:1pt, 1B:1pt, 2B:2pts, 3B:3pts, HR:4pts, RBI:2pts, SB:2pts, CS:-1pt, BB:1pt, K:-1pt and for pitchers: W:1-pts, L:-5pts, S:10pts, K:1pt, BB:-1pt, ER:-1pt.
Through 5 rounds, my team is like this (1st overall pick but traded for it so I couldn't take A-Rod)-Pujols, Manny, Halladay, Wagner and Garret Anderson. Pujols and Manny are monsters and will rack up HR's and RBI's easily. When pitchers started to go, I felt I needed an ace and took Halladay, a 22-game winner from last year. Then, I figured I needed one of the elite closers and a consistent hitter. In the 4th round, Wagner was still there, so I took him and I took a very, very consistent hitter in the 5th round-Garret Anderson (.320, 30,120).
Now that brings me to my question, other than wondering how my draft went so far for me. There are still alot of great players left and I feel I can win this league, I just need a few more solid picks. These hitters and pitchers could be available between now (end of rd.5 and even through rds.10-11
Hank Blaylock (3B-thin position)
S.Green (comeback year?)
I think AT LEAST 1-2 of those guys will be around by round 11 (definately hitters). Who should I really try to get? We right now are in the last pick of round 5 (9 picks till me). What should I do? I really need ur help!
P.S. I wouldn't be surprised to pick up guys other owners forgot, possible comeback players like Glaus, Green and Burnitz. Many Red Sox players won't be taken because most of our draft is Yankee fans (how do u think I got Manny?)
