Help with pitching prospect rankings in a dynasty!

Postby jmlevy » Tue Jul 22, 2008 3:24 pm

20 team dynasty H2H league w/OPS and Holds, keep 22 from active roster and 8 from farm club

Ok, I am working on a trade offer with a manager and was hoping to get some opinions on the following pitching prospects. Could you possibly rank them and/or provide analysis/projections as to how you expect them to develop?

- David Purcey SP Tor
- Jeremy Jeffress SP Mil
- Jordan Walden SP LAA
- Fautino De Los Santos SP Oak
- Shawn Hill SP WAS

I am trying to offer a package along the lines of my Rowand, Duchscherer, and (Wellemeyer, Moyer, or Balester) for his Harang, T Snider, and one of the above pitching propsects.

He is in need of a fill-in OF and SP and has put Harang, Snider, and/or Schafer on the block for OF and SP help; I am looking to rebuild as I am all but out of the playoff race this year.

Thanks for your help in advance and feel free to leave a link!

I really like Walden (I actually did a write up on him). Jeffress has great talent, but I would need to see some maturity from him in order to be a believer. I would look at these two as the potential candidates for the trade.
Jody, Jody Davis. Hits 'em high and far. Jody, Jody Davis. He's a superstar. Holy Cow!!!!

Jeremy Jeffress-highest upside
Jordan Walden-solid all around, high upside too
De Los Santos-read good things but then again, I don't want to figure out Oakland's pitching specs now, too many good ones
Hill-proven he's a major leaguer
Purcey-hasn't (see Hill)
Are you interested in joining a 28 teams dynasty league? If so, PM me.
