i'd trade one of your front line starter for a big bopepr at 3rd. like Doc for Aram, or Peavy for Miggy-Cab. Or even better try and packahe Dempster and one of your mid-tier SPs for one of those 3rd. you lack in the power categories so that's what u need. once u get a big hitting 3rd and be patient you'll team will come around

The most obvious position to upgrade seems like 2B. Kent is simply too old and doesn't see enough playing time. List some available 2B options in your FA pool.

The second base pool is pretty weak:

Ray Durham
Mark Grudzielanek
Jeff Baker
Marco Scutaro
Jose Castillo
Rich Aurilia
Jamey Carroll
Mike Fontenot
Aaron Miles
Adam Kennedy

i agree with the above about 2B. pick up baker for now, try to stream a hot bat, almost anyone would be better IMO.
i also agree about trading a pitcher, maybe for a 2B but it wouldnt hurt to trade an ace for a stud!!

good overall team, you should continue to hang around the top of you league

any thoughts viewtopic.php?f=29&t=356442

Would it be worth trying to get a pure power guy like Adam Dunn, who would kill my average, but give me some power? The guy who has Dunn is in last place by a long ways, and this is a keeper league, so he might be looking to add a pitcher for next year.

I believe that it would hurt you too much. I agree with the above posts in that you need to deal for a 2B for pitcher possibly. You could trade some pitching and I believe be able to pick-up some good pitchers in FA. List some of the free agent pitchers available in your league please.

I was offered Milton Bradley and Carlos Beltran for Carl Crawford and Roy Halladay. I countered with Bradley/Beltran for Crawford/Dempster and he accepted. I also dropped Jeff Kent and picked up Jamie Moyer. Here's my roster now:

C - Martin
1B - Teixeira
2B - Alexei Ramirez
3B - Gordon
SS - Reyes
CI - Kotchman
MI - Tejada
OF - Bradley, Beltran, Kemp
U - M. Young, Thome
BN - Ibanez, Schumaker
DL - Church
SP - Halladay, Peavy, Mussina
RP - Nathan, Rivera
P - Jim Johnson, Shields, Bell
BN - C. Durbin, Lannan, Redding, Looper, Garland, Moyer, McGowan
DL - Marcum
