I was so happy for Paul, Ray, PJ (15 yrs in the league!), Eddie (the debacle with him not playing did not deter him), Doc (lost his father and was always criticized) and KG (you did it!!! Now you can rest for a couple of days).

How sweet it is to say:

THE BOSTON CELTICS ARE WORLD CHAMPIONS.

I can't believe i just wrote that after witnessing what happened last year. Now the fans will have to deal with the bandwagoners who will come out in force next year.

One more time:

THE BOSTON CELTICS ARE WORLD CHAMPIONS.

Thanks mweir. It was your unwavering support that made this possible. Glad you sported the green avatar.

World Champions?
How so?

If the Dream Team can't win the Olympics or FIBA in the past 10 years how do you end up with World Champions?

And who are all of these guys that you're on a first name basis with?

So much for bostonians not being smug and annoying over this :-C

Let them beat the Canadian national team then they can call themselves World Champions. Until then I will be as wet and blankety as I please.

I wonder if the Cowboys/Yankees/Lakers fans are on the brink of suicide... :-D
Maine has a good swing for a pitcher but on anything that moves, he has no chance. And if it's a fastball, it has to be up in the zone. Basically, the pitcher has to hit his bat. - Mike Pelfrey

At least that smug piece of crap Kobe didn't win.
I don't watch much basketball, but he seems to be on a different level of up-himself-ness.
Congrats Boston ;-D
