I think it's DeWitt's job to lose up until Laroche is deemed about ready. It'll take a while for Nomar to come all the way back (and even then, the injuries are starting to rear their ugly heads). DeWitt is better than Laroche defensively (even though Laroche gives the best of both worlds with the bat), but he's been equally impressive with the bat thus far and has surprisingly flashed a bit of power, not bad for the perception that scouts labeled him as needing more hitting seasoning. Should be interesting to see how Joe will handle the 3B situation if Andy Laroche proves he's ready to contribute again.
