I don't really follow baseball as much, so i get most of the prospect news off you guys. Someone had Bruce stashed, and I missed out on Scherzer and Kershaw because of a crappy waiver position. So whos the next big call up that will be an automatic pick up?? And when should I expect it? Thanks in advance guys

Well, I would say the next pickup is someone who is already up: Glen Perkins.

He's had 4 starts so far against the Red Sox, Rangers, Blue Jays, and Tigers, and come out with a 2.77 ERA and a 1.19 WHIP. His next start will probably be tomorrow at home against the Yankees.

Homer Bailey of Cincinnati is really the only person that comes to mind. Chase Headley of San Diego is another guy you should keep an eye on. San Diego's offense could really use him especially with Huber getting injured. After that there's not really anybody.

homer is struggling in the minors, could delay his arrival.

headley has a great chance to make an impact. the padres need him and he is raking in the minors. just a question for when he'll be called up, and if he'll get full playing time

ian stewart is already up, and playing 2nd. he isnt hitting right now, but he has big power potential for the position. if he starts hitting well he can really help at a low power position

Well you could still have a chance at Ian Stewart he's a pretty darn big prospect who just got called up a few days ago.

Stewart is definitely the next one to snatch up. He is hitting in a great lineup(once TT and Holiday come back), a hitters park, playing a scarce position in 2B, and best of all already in the Y! database.

I think it will be a good idea to grab McCutchen a few weeks before the trading deadline.

Next big call up? I'd say no one, Homer, Maybin, & Rasmus are already in Yahoo so I don't count them. I don't think anyone has big impact potential left ... oh and Ian Stewart has left his big prospect title years ago. Laporta could be interesting though if he had room on the Brewers.

Hitters
Teagarden, Bryan Anderson (maybe in a trade), Wieters, Chris Davis, LaPorta, Antonelli, Mills, McCutchen, Carlos Gonzalez, Gamel, Cardenas, maybe Todd Frazier

Pitchers
Price, Volstad, Adam Miller, Hurley, McGee, Casey Weathers, James McDonald, Chris Tillman, Michael Bowden, Daryl Thompson, Carrasco, Bard if he sticks as a RP, Jamie Garcia, or Trevor Cahill if he keeps up his current pace

Note: None presently added to Yahoo

Thats all I can think of off the top of my head. There may also be a 1 or 2 drafted guys that get a nod to the bigs ie: Zimmerman and Andrew Miller
