My pitching is HORRIBLE. Help?

Postby spacehamster01 » Wed May 21, 2008 9:46 pm

Okay, so I've made lots of trades. I missed my draft and Yahoo originally only drafter me 3 SPs. I'm just wondering what you guys think I should do to balance it out. Any suggestions for straight up trades, trading a batter for pitcher? All help greatly appreciated...thanks in advance too!

Its really hard to say since it depends on what the other teams need, but try and trade Dunn for a team hurting for homers and see if u can get a starter in return.

Looking at your lineup I would recommend trading Dunn and/or Roberts. Your offense is quite solid and you have good bats just sitting on the bench. Another option would be to shop around Uggla while he's hot and have Roberts as your main 2B. Hope that helps a bit.

Would you look at my post as well? Thanks

I would also look at moving one of your closers along with Dunn and Uggla since you seem to have enough power to go around, Roberts would add some SB without a significant dropoff in production. Remember that while closers add saves and holds, good starters will eat up innings and lower your era and whip while adding a lot of Ks and Ws.

I would target some underachieving guys and try to buy low - I was able to Verlander pretty cheap and I expect him to bounce back. Also, sometimes it helps to plug in a solid middle relief guy just to help the ERA and WHIP in the meantime.
