Should I be worried about BA with these guys? WHIR

I recently asked what you guys thought about my team and the responses were great. I hate to ask something else about my team but this bothering me a bit so I brought it to the best place I know.

Adam LaRoche---------.272-----------------------.203
Johnny Damon---------.292----------------------- .264
Nick Markakis---------.296------------------------.260
David Ortiz------------.305------------------------.233

I had a team BA of .280 a week and a half ago now it is .266. Is this hard to make up. I am not shocked at LaRoche's BA . He should be better as the season goes on (correct?)

Thanks for the help with mine.

i defiantly see Markakis hitting above .300, I think Ortiz will improve to around .275.


The other two: LaRoche has always been a slow starter, but I still don't see him hitting over .270. Damon will hit around .280.

Thanks for the response. It seems like the bad BA has hurt in RBI and Runs scored simply because my guys just arent hitting. Its like a trickle effect. This sort of happened last year and I won my league pretty easily. I need to realize that this is not a sprint more like a marathon. I just wish these guys would produce so I could be at ease.

i agree with wormz on 3 out of the 4...i don't see LaRoche hitting anything better then .255-.260 at best...he averages a strikeout every 4.22 ABs, this year hes averaging one every 3.35 ABs...also averages for a career one walk every 9.75 ABs, this year one in every 7.42 ABs...these 2 suggests that this average is no fluke thus far, he might change it around as the season progresses, but i don't see an average close to .255 let alone .270+
