Need help started 0-6

Postby ericerwin03 » Mon May 12, 2008 4:05 am

I started the season 0-6 in my h2h 10 team league and I'm thinking I need to make some changes. I thought the team looked pretty good when I drafted it but the players aren't working out for me. I need some advice on who should I trade and what should I try to uprgrade on?

I'm guessing it's a standard 5x5 league? The offense looks fine, and when Soriano and Fielder start playing up to their level you'll start taking the offensive cats. For a 10 teamer the pitching is weak, and should be of concern as you go forward. Try and buy low on a starting pitcher by trading off an OFer. If you can get a Verlander right now, go for it. Either trade for some more saves (or pick them up off the WW), or trade Valverde. There's no use in having one closer, either be competitive in the cat or punt it.
...Boston papers now and then suffer a sharp flurry of arithmetic on this score; indeed, for Williams to have distributed all his hits so they did nobody else any good would constitute a feat of placement unparalleled in the annals of selfishness. -Updike

Another Closer and top shelf SP look like proper goals for ya...

I would think about moving Volquez and Upton for a more established SP ace or a shut down closer like Nathan.
