Guidance from the Gurus? WHIR FORSURE

Postby soccerballer002 » Mon May 12, 2008 1:25 am

Alright, Im rebounding slightly from a slow start and am currently 8th in a 12 team H2H redraft 5x5

Roster:
C
1B Mark Teixeira
2B Rickie Weeks
3B Ryan Zimmerman
SS Derek Jeter
OF Carlos Lee
OF Michael Bourn
OF Rick Ankiel
Util Kosuke Fukudome
BN Carlos Guillén
BN Shane Victorino
BN Justin Upton
DL Álex Rodríguez
Pitching
SP Carlos Zambrano
SP Zack Greinke
RP George Sherrill
RP Brian Fuentes
P Carlos Mármol
P Eric Gagne
P Justin Duchscherer
BN Roy Halladay
BN Jonathan Sánchez
BN C.C. Sabathia
DL John Lackey

Couple things: I dropped Suzuki after a hitless weekend to make sure I get Duscherer this week. Also, It is rather tough to get a closer in this league. I am just looking for guidance on where to go next, I feel pretty confused about my roster. I have a hard time deciding who to start day-to-day in my lineup as well. Which guys should I consider part of my team (OF) and which should I try to deal...

Thanks ahead of time

I personally am not a fan of Justin Upton (had him and dropped him) and even though I own Guillen I dont really like him either. Maybe trade those two for an everyday OF or maybe another position you need.

Thanks for the help! You have great starting pitchers for a 12 team league... especially when Lackey comes back. You also have the luxory of having two good shortstops at a fairly scarce position. I would package Jeter or Guillen with somebody like Greinke and land yourself another OF.

You have a lot of slow starters like Teixera and Zimmerman, which we all expect a little better from and we can rely on it to come. I think your pitching is very solid though with Lackey coming back. I think you could continue to slowly continue to move up and hopefully land the playoffs.

Great pitching and your offense will be awesome once A-rod gets back. I like Guillen especially once the Tigers start to produce. That lineup can't not produce for a whole year. Guillen will benefit from that lineup. I am in a 14 team league so I value him more. Please help me out

That's a pretty good team for a 12-team league. Enjoy the ride the rest of the year if your guys do what they're supposed to do.
Good luck
