my 3rd basemen has been a revolving door... beltre, reynolds, Crede, and now dewitt (just riding hot streaks) all 3 of those guys are still available I think Beltre looks like he's the only one who will sustain at least mediocre play throughout the year. I have yet to lose in K's or K/9 and believe it or not I'm only 5 saves from leading the league in saves to being in the middle of the pack. I'm thinking about packaging a closer with someone and trying to solidify my 3rd base position. Any other ideas or possible targets that I could net for closer+ ?

Don't mean to get you down, but IMO, your team doesn't quite have staying power. How many players are you allowed to have, you have no hitting bench and only 3 pitching bench, weird. Aybar is decent and SS is thin but I reckon he puts up .280-.300 with a couple of Hrs and 10-15sbs. I love the OFs but seriously you have no depth. If any of your players gets injured or is day to day your screwed. Also, Dewitt is fantastic for now, especially for keeper leagues, but is a very decent player. On second thought, your pitching doesn't have much experience or depth. Greg Smith and Danks are hot now, but what do you base it on, not even hot prospects. You should have SVs every week and ks are good with Hamels, Lincecum, and ehh Haren. If you can somehow make room for reynolds, I would, how the hell is he a FA, hes taken in most leagues with 8-10 teams.

I don't really care much for how our league is setup. but its just me and a bunch of friends from high school who play fantasy as a way to stay in touch, so I don't really care all that much about the format. we only have one DL spot and 3 bench spots. Most in our league use their bench spots for pitchers so if you don't do the same your at a disadvantage in IP, W, and Ks. If one of my guys were to go down I would dump a pitcher for a replacement.

Im a big fan of your pitching.Lyon seems to be the only consistent source of saves, but the others will get you some. For your starters, you have a good fusion of reliable starters plus people whoa re hot now. Its your offense that really worries me. If most people use their bench on pitchers, there has to be better quality out there than you have now. Aybars good now, but he doesnt strike me as a real consistent player from know. He has good potential for down the road, but for now i think he is still getting used to the big league. same with DeWitt. Gonzalez seems to be inconsistent, same with Kotchman, who started out strong but i think is cooling down already. I like the outfield. I think Mags will get better and i think mcLouth will stay strong, plus Kemp has great potential
