Rookie Fantasy Player looking for some Pro Advice!!

Hey guys, first of all, I appreciate any help or advice you offer me, and I will do my best to return the favors and give my opinions whenever I can. I am a rookie in the fantasy business, but am a longtime avid baseball fan. I'm going to make a big post to give you all a good idea of my team & the league I'm in.

I am in a 10 team H2H Yahoo league with the following stats counting: R, HR, RBI, SB, Avg, W, SV, K, ERA, WHIP. I'm currently in 3rd place in my league with a record of 18-11-1. Not bad I thought considering I have many "Buy Low" candidates on my team, haha!

2B - BJ Upton (can also plug in at OF if playing Uggla here would be beneficial)

*Dropped Chad Cordero - a closer I thought would have big year...injuries killed that.
*Dropped Manuel Corpas when he got replaced as Colorado's closer
*Dropped Jacoby Ellsbury when all I heard was that he'll never play with CoCo Crisp in front of him...nice choice huh? :(
*Dropped Orlando Cabrera to make room for Ryan Zimmerman when ARod went on DL

Here are my thoughts. This week, I actually did great in the pitching dept, winning in Wins (thanks to Papelbon's 2), K, ERA, & WHIP, while tying on saves. I did ok in hitting, winning in Runs, RBI, while losing in HR, Avg, & SB. My Avg, Saves, and even HR are consistently pretty low, while ERA, K's, and WHIP are ok.

I have somehow collected way too many OF's, and so far, most are pretty worthless! In my opinion, I might need a reliable closer, and I'd like to improve my Batting Avg. somehow. I'd like to trade either Bay or Hawpe for someone, as they are pretty similar players and I can't always play them both. Also like to move any of my other OF's, either dropping & adding some players, or trading, but I don't know who I can get good value on right now, as Sheff, Bay, Hawpe are all down right now. Remember, I can also play BJ Upton at OF & Uggla at 2B if that is advantageous?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated guys! Thanks a lot, and I will offer my input on all who comment.

I think Your teams pretty good, I'd recommend getting rid of Gary Sheifflield and picking up Schumaker, you have a good pitching staff tho i wouldn't change anything there just yet, i would look into seeing if anybody on the waivers are doing better than griffey. he's my fav baseball player of all time but on a fantasy it's a huge risk due to injury and if i am correct i think he's been cooling down as of late. if orlando hudson is available i'd snag him up as a utility. about the trade im not to sure, don't have any ideas there sorry.

Here is my plan...my OF has sucked thus far this year. Uggla is an upgrade over almost any of them, so I plan to play Uggla at 2B, move Upton to OF, and then pick between Bay, Hawpe, Sheff, & Matthews Jr. to play with Upton & Crawford in the OF, and then between them & C. Delgado for my Util spot. Opinions? Smart move by moving Upton to OF & plugging Uggla in at 2nd? I found Uggla on the WW, so I thought it was a good pickup.

Also, when ARod comes back, think I could get anything for Zimmerman in a trade? Possibly a lower-tier closer? Or is that wishful thinking?

Oh, and about Sheffield...has everyone given up on him, and should I? I can't get crap for him in a trade right now, so it is prolly either drop him, put him in as a throw-in on another trade, or ride him out and see if things improve. What do you think?
