10 team mixed, standard 5x5

Right now, I'm 1st in BA, 4th in HR, 3rd in R, 5th in RBI, 3rd in SB, 4th in ERA, 8th in K, 8th in S, 4th in W, 6 in WHIP

C - Ramon Hernandez
C - JR Towles
1B - Albert Pujols
2B - Ian Kinsler
3B - Chipper Jones
SS - Edgar Renteria
OF - Ryan Braun
OF - Magglio Ordonez
OF - Kosuke Fukudome
OF - Hunter Pence
OF - Nate McLouth
U - Hank Blalock
U - Joey Votto

P - Brandon Webb
P - Erik Bedard (DL)
P - John Lackey (DL)
P - John Maine
P - Francisco Liriano
P - Derek Lowe
P - Jose Valverde
P - Manny Corpas
P - Rafael Soriano (DL)

Reserve - Michael Bourn
Reserve - Shane Victorino

I need to trade a hitter for some pitching, especially considering how many guys are on the DL. There are some FA pitchers but none are really that great. So, what hitters should I be willing to let go of that have some value? Is a guy like Lowe droppable, or worth holding onto? Any other suggestions?

You'll need to make some good WW moves to keep this team competitive. The offense is fairly strong, but I'm not sure you have much room to spare. You definitely need help at pitching because for a 10 team league yours is particularly weak. Try to trade a Chipper Jones for some pitching, that way you can slot Blalock over to 3rd and pick up another Util (Not a great option, but you neeeed pitching.)

Other than that, you don't have a ton of spare parts to spin off. In a 10 team with that few of pitching spots, don't be afraid to drop and insert WW pick-ups.
...Boston papers now and then suffer a sharp flurry of arithmetic on this score; indeed, for Williams to have distributed all his hits so they did nobody else any good would constitute a feat of placement unparalleled in the annals of selfishness. -Updike

It looks like you do need to try to trade offense for pitching, but you are def in a tough spot with so many people on the DL. It looks like you have a good amount of people that can steal bases, so i would try to trade off some steals to someone that needs them. I wouldn't drop Lowe he will help your ratios and get a good amount of wins, I just picked him up myself. I think Liriano is worth shopping or dropping depending on who's available. I just don't think he is going to have it all together this year.

As everyone else has said, your hitting is pretty strong. I think you could stand to lose a top-tier outfielder for a good pitcher. If I were you, I'd try Braun or Ordonez (who I think are going to regress this year) for a fantasy ace or, if you prefer, two good fantasy starters.
That being said, don't panic because of your pitching yet. You have two legit aces sitting on your DL. Bedard will be back within a week and Lackey will be back within two. Your pitching should get better even if you don't trade at all.

P.S. Thanks for the help with my team!
