There are some leagues where eligibility is determined by a single appearance. That would be beyond ridiculous to have Pujols at 2b. Who knows though...maybe TLR will slide him over to 2b permanently to clear up their logjam at 1b/corner outfielders.
Hope springs eternal grows like ivy on the vine then dies in the fall
it was one of the most idiotic thing LaRussa has ever done.
Why take your superstar lynchpin who has an elbow that is literally hanging on by a shred who isn't have surgery because he plays first and doesn't have to throw much who happens to be one of the more competitive guys in the game and put him in a position where he might need to throw the ball and snap that UCL.
IDIOTIC. I don't care that you had to move LaRue to first. Put him at 2nd instead of Pujols. And if you're putting Pujols at 2nd and telling him not to throw the ball what good does he do at 2nd?
When you are a man, sometimes you wear stretchy pants in your room...is for fun.

I disagree. A league that would give a guy like Pujols 2B eligibility after just one emergency inning would lose some credibility in my eyes. I'd rather be in a league that delivers a reasonably accurate representation of major league baseball and its players. With all the bashing that Yahoo takes on these boards, this is one case in which their stricter policy regarding what constitutes position eligibility is a GOOD thing.
