Ideas on how to get my 1st place to out of last?

Postby kingmike74 » Sat Apr 19, 2008 9:15 am

After years of fantasy, I lnow that my teram is very capable of winning my 10 man ROTO league.

I know it is still early and I have a bunch of bad slumps and injuries going on but I cannot help but think, how am I in very last place with 37 points?

I do not see anything I can do at the moment. I would not dare drop anyone with the exception of Kouz and Saunders, which are the 2 spots that I add/drop players.

Any ideas besides waiting? Our league has NO Dl spots

You've got a pretty solid team. It doesn't help that Beltran and CC are off to miserable starts and two of your good players are on the DL.

The couple of things that jump out at me right away are maybe consider selling high on Greinke and/or Soria in order to strengthen your team. Also, any better options at catcher from the FA list? I've been looking for a reason to plug Bard in my line-up but I just can't justify right now with his inconsistent playing time. Good luck and remember its a looong season!

Your team is definitely not a last-place team, just a bunch of under-achievers right now especially with CC, Kemp, Beltran and Hawpe. Soriano and Bedard on the DL don't help your team either.

I think if you just wait it out, you'll be fine. I'd try to improve your offense a little to get a little more pop but other than that, it's a good team especially the pitching.

I just traded J.D. Drew for Greinke so I would like to wait to trade him, he was really a freebie since Drew was a WW I grabed a week ago.

Thx for the help guys.
