Tempe, AZ (Sports Network) - The Anaheim Angels Monday came to terms on a one- year contract with right-handed pitcher Chris Bootcheck. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The 25-year-old, who was a first-round selection for Anaheim in the 2000 free agent draft, split time with the Angels and triple-A Salt Lake in 2003.

With the Angels, Bootcheck went 0-1 in four appearances, including one start, with a 9.58 ERA. The La Porte, Indiana native made his major league debut on September 9, dropping an 8-1 decision to Oakland.

Bootcheck posted an 8-9 record with three complete games and a 4.25 ERA in 28 contests for the Stingers. He finished fourth in the Pacific Coast League in innings pitched and tied for second in complete games.
