Money League H2H draft how did I do?

Postby ZFever » Wed Mar 26, 2008 4:04 pm

10 team H2H points league with weekly lineups. I had the 1st pick and of course I took A-Rod. After that things kind of rolled into place for me. Not to happy with Hernandez or Helton but those were the best players available at the time. How do you think I did?

T Helton

You have great depth at starting pitcher, but don't have a big time guy to go with Dice K, maybe try moving a few of those guys for an upgrade at SP. Your fairly weak at 1B and your 3rd outfield spot, and you have depth to where you can address that through trading. Pretty nice tema for a money league!

I think helton is very middle of the raod, but fine in this format. I would see if you could move some combo of roward, damon, a closer, and a sP for an SP upgrade. you won't be able to start that many closers, and you could use a more elite starter. I think james shields, javier vasquez, joba (even in the penn), and john smoltz are all undervalued, as well as kazmir and hamels slightly. To be hoenst it looks like you reached a little for guys in the mid rounds. you should be able to recover though. Grab a high upside OF instead of diaz. milledge, rasmus, bruce, upton, someone along those lines. They're worth a roster spot. Good Luck

I do like your team, but I would also want another ace.

The difficulty here is that I wouldn't want to trade away any of your top Offensive weapons to get that ace. You'll definitley be relying on big years from Cain.

I wouldn't worry about helton...since Arod, Vlad and Beltran are a good top 3 offense.

One thing I might consider to improve your pitching, is focus less top aces, and more on guys who will be very solid and get wins, since your league values those a lot. I worry about Zito, Cain, Young, and Sheets (due to health) getting you the points you need.
Of course, Matsuzaka and Weaver both play for teams that will win a lot.

hope you can help me out:
