Postby HipHopSpam » Tue Mar 25, 2008 4:29 am

I just finished a 12 team, 5x5, 25 minimum IP, H2H league's draft. I had the fourth pick, here how i did:

Air and Aether
1. (3) José Reyes SS
2. (22) Carlos Lee OF
3. (27) Lance Berkman 1B/OF
4. (46) Chone Figgins 2B/3B/OF
5. (51) Justin Verlander SP
6. (70) Corey Hart OF
7. (75) Billy Wagner RP
8. (94) Ben Sheets SP
9. (99) James Shields SP
10. (118) Mike Lowell 3B
11. (123) John Maine SP
12. (142) Rafael Soriano RB
13. (147) Geovany Soto C
14. (166) Jeremy Hermida OF
15. (171) Derek Lowe SP
16. (190) Jonathan Broxton RP
17. (195) Ryan Garko 1B
18. (214) Yunel Escobar 2B/SS/3B
19. (219) Lastings Milledge OF
20. (238) Hideki Okajima RP
21. (243) Jair Jurrjens SP

C - S. Geovany
1B - L. Bermann
2B - C. Figgins
SS - J. Reyes
3B - M. Lowell
OF - C. Lee, C. Hart, J. Hermida
Util - R. Garko/L. Milledge/ Y. Escobar

SP - J. Verlander, B. Sheets, J. Shields, J. Maine, D. Lowe, J. Jurrjens
RP - B. Wagner, R. Soriano, J. Broxton, H. Okajima

My own analysis -> I was quite satisfied with the way my bats came to be. I have solid base stealing with Reyes and Figgins. Power from Lee, Hart, and Berkmann. Then to top it off, I have Lowell, Geovany, and Escobar to bring on the AVG. I am a little skepticle of my Hermida pick, but I have the feeling he might progress this year. For my pitching, though it isn't as strong as the batting, has prominence in it as well. There's always that big ??? with Ben Sheets, but when he's active, he produces nicely. K's and Wins shouldn't be a problem having Verlander who is on a very strong Tiger squad and Maine on the Mets. The other guys are support.... I wasn't so sure about my Jurrjens pick. He is a very deep sleeper, but I could easily see myself picking up another pitcher off the waiver wire sometime during the season...I could use another closer, but hopefully Wagner and Soriano can hold the fort together. Finally, Broxton and Okajima are there for the K's and ERA/WHIP. What do you guys think? Where can I look to improve?

my quick analysis is your team is very solid. you may be a little short in RBI's and HR's. Your pitching is good. Pray for Sheets however.
