Yahoo H2H, 6x6 - need some expert eyeballs.

Postby jer33 » Mon Mar 24, 2008 9:35 am

This is what I drafted yesterday.. felt pretty good up top (using some free fantasy cheat sheets) but the bottom end seems a little sketchy.

16 team Yahoo H2H, 6x6 (Hitting: R,H,HR,RBI,SB,AVG Pitching: W,SV,K,HLD,ERA,WHIP)

I honestly don't follow baseball to this type of depth, so I need some real help to identify weaknesses (too young, too risky?) and to spot some quick alternatives to replace the sketchy parts (sleepers, rookies?)

Am I missing any important scoring categories?

C - Benjie Molina
1B - Garrett Atkins (1B/3B)
2B - BJ. Upton (2B,CF)
3B - Edwin Encarnacion
SS - Jimmy Rollins
LF - Pat Burrell
CF - Torii Hunter
RF - Nick Swisher (1B,CF,RF)
Util - Matt Kemp (RF)
BN - Willy Taveras (CF)
BN - Lastings Milledge (LF,CF,RF)
BN - Ty Wigginton (1B,2B,3B)
BN - Luke Scott (RF)
BN - Alex Gonzolez (SS)

SP - Brandon Webb
SP - Jered Weaver
SP - Bronson Arroyo
RP - Huston Street
RP - Matt Capps
RP - C.J. Wilson
P - Jake Westbrook (SP)
P - Kevin Millwood (SP)
P - Luis Ayala (RP)
P - David Riske (RP)
BN - Cla Meredith (RP)

Thanks everyone... and I'll be happy to help with fantasy hockey anytime.

I'd also appreciate any advice you guys can give with regard to pitching strategies in H2H play.

Thanks.

If I were to trade a hitter for a pitcher, who should I be looking at? Who can I afford to lose up front?

With 10 pitching slots, how many should I carry?

Thanks.

You have some depth at RF, but you might want to wait until the season gets going and see if Milledge starts to put up good numbers (I happen to think he is in for a break out year), that could increase what you get back in terms of SP.
