I just got back from our live offline draft and was curious what you all think of it. WHIR!

non-keeper league
8 team yahoo fantasy baseball PLUS league, head-to-head one win, with the following categories:
Hitters:
R, HR, RBI, SB, AVG, k's against

Pitchers:

Positions:
C, 1B, 2B, SS, 3B, 3 OF's, 2 Util, 2 SP, 2 RP, 3 P, 5 Bench, and 3 DL

My draft position was 8 in a snake draft so I was always drafting two at a time:

Round 1: Hanley Ramirez - SS

Round 4: Carl Crawford - OF
Round 5: Roy Oswalt - SP
Round 6: Joe Nathan - RP

Round 8: Yovani Gallardo - SP
Round 9: Nick Markakis - OF
Round 10: Chone Figgins - UTIL
Round 11: Aaron Harang - SP
Round 12: Francisco Cordero - RP
Round 13: Adrian Gonzalez - UTIL (1B)
Round 14: Pedro Martinez - SP
Round 15: Ian Kinsler - 2B
Round 16: Matt Capps - P (RP)

Round 22: Tony Pena - BN (RP)

Thanks!

Your team should have no problem accruing stolen bases: Ramirez, Crawford, Figgins, Taveras. Thinking of owning Jerry Owens too? You don't need Owens, or Taveras.
For an 8 team league, it seems like your team needs a little more pop.
Are there any other options for the end of RPs than Tony Pena?
I think you could easily upgrade to a better catcher off the WW, although I'm not sure what is out there.

Butler's a great pick in the 19th round.

They let him fall because they all heard he was on the DL. Bad for them, good for me. :-D

Nice team. I like that you got Hanley and Wright back to back. I've seen those guys go second in some leauges. You got some great value picks later on.
Only thing I'm concerned about is you have no established pure power hitters. I love Lee and Berkman. However, neither are realistically going to top 40 homers and 120 RBIs. Since you have excess stolen bases, maybe look to move crawford. You can get some good value (Howard, Fielder, Ortiz?) depending on who you trade with.

Thanks for answering mine!

Wow! You easily have some great steals in there like Granderson and Wright all the way down to 9. If i had to nitpick i would say that you drafted Joe Nathan a little early. You need some pop also. Someone like Adam Dunn.

Definitely some great steals in that draft! However I agree that you need more power, and have too much speed. The way I see it, you're going to be blowing people at in SBs every week, but that won't help you in H2H, especially in a 1 win per week league! :-o . Trade Speed for power.
