More Excel - Open Office "help"

Postby bigken117 » Fri Mar 21, 2008 10:14 pm

How the heck do you open an .ods file with Excel? I always get some lame error. Most likely from microsoft not recognizing the little guy. I can host it through Google Docs and export it to xls, but I'd like to avoid the middle man if ever possible.

I don't have Excel at home, I don't have open office at work . Some rankin.....um, files may be on a thumb drive to be worked on at multiple locations.

No problem opening xls with openoffice.

Can you install on your work computer? There is an Excel add-in for ODF:

Maine has a good swing for a pitcher but on anything that moves, he has no chance. And if it's a fastball, it has to be up in the zone. Basically, the pitcher has to hit his bat. - Mike Pelfrey
