2008 H2HWS Team - WHIR

Postby CheeseBeger » Sat Mar 15, 2008 11:40 pm

Well here is my H2HWS team. As you can probably tell I punted SB in favor of more OPS-strong players

12 Team ( 6X6 Holds/OPS)

C - Joe Mauer
1B - David Ortiz
2B - Placido Polanco
3B - Miguel Cabrera
SS - Stephen Drew
CF - Corey Hart
OF - Manny Ramirez
OF - Adam Dunn
UTIL - Jeremy Hermida
BN - Jose Guillen

SP - Chris Young
SP - Scott Kazmir
RP - Rafael Soriano
RP - Matt Capps
P - Scott Shields
P - Heath Bell
BN - James Shields
BN - Matt Cain
BN - Clay Buchholz
BN - Brian Wilson

So what do you think, besides the fact that I missed out on a shortstop :~( I may be watching the waiver wire to replace Drew pretty quickly.

That's a sweet team, I like it! Quite a few players in common with mine (check it out here if you have a moment, please!)

Love the pitching with lots of solid strikeout guys, and the hitting will see you compete in 5 of the 6 categories! You just, as you say, need to keep an eye out for a SS, unless Drew can put together what some of us still believe he's capable of!

Nice job ;-D

Nice team. I think you had the right approach to attack the draft by concentrating most on power hitters who can hit for average and provide top OPS support. No worries about punting SB's. I also like the pitching support as you have a good mix of upside throughout.
