Only one steal so far. :-t He and CBY really need to start running. The hot streak near the beginning of the year was an indication that he can hit at a major league level, and hit well, but his inexperience really started showing. He has 90 K's through 76 games. 8-o

But who's going to complain about a 20 year old with an OPS of .781? ;-D He's only going up from here.

Both Uptons are great rising ball clubs which will suit them well. I think BJ is going have a better career in TB because of their talent that is rising. He's a good lead off hitter who gets on base and eventually ends up scoring. Not to mention can hit HR esp. off Boston ;-)

BJ Upton has batted 3rd for the last 2 months except for the few days that Iwamura was suspended. ;-D

I'm curious to hear peoples thoughts on this debate going into '09.

Well you see, this is how it works. People overrate potential/hype at first, then when it doesn't happen quickly there is a back lash and people will say the opposite. Always happens, I'm guessing many will now say BJ due to that and well they will remember his hitting in the playoffs.

Though don't get me wrong, I'm not saying everyone who picked Justin blindly jumped on him due to potential/hype. But the majority I think did which is why the vote turned out the way it did. It really should be about split down the middle.

I still like JUP's potential a bit more. I would change my mind if he doesn't improve this year though.

My opinion is still the same. They are extremely close, but I give the edge to Justin by a hair just because his tools are just a bit better then bigger brother.
