Since Selig sucks, who would you like to be Commish?

Someone knowledgeable, quick-witted, and fit to run a baseball league?

In that case, Joe Garagiola (Sr.) would be a perfect fit. ;-D

bell...where have you been?

I agree with you, but my reasoning is to get him out of the announcing booth...The guy is horrible. He may be able to do the Westminster Dog Show, but he is horrible on D'backs games.

I wouldn't hold your breath waiting for the owners to select an ex-player to be their commissioner.

They are far more likely to pick an ex-owner. I'll even make a prediction. The next commish after Selig will be George W. Bush. It's only a matter of whether it happens sometime around 2006 or 2010. (No comment on which one I'd prefer - but let's just say I think he'd be a great choice for commissioner and that it'd be the perfect job for the man. In fact, I think we all ought to pull together and do what we can to try and make this happen ASAP! After all, what could be more important to this country than ensuring a strong and healthy future for baseball? :-D)
