He and Bonderman are the guys I will be drafting next year like I did Haren, CC, Harang and Bedard this season.

That's what people said about Cain for this year too though.

1. Alfonso Soriano -- 2nd rd?
2. Johan Santana -- 2nd rd?
3. David Ortiz -- 2nd rd?
4. Lance Berkman -- 3rd rd?
5. Travis Hafner --3rd rd?
6. Carl Crawford
7. Vernon Wells -- 5th rd?
8. Jason Bay -- 3rd rd?
9. Garrett Atkins -- 5th rd?
10. Michael Young -- 5th rd?
11. Roy Halladay
12. Paul Konerko -- 6th rd?
13. Jermaine Dye
14. Juan Pierre
15. Jeremy Bonderman

Jason Bay was a 3rd rounder this year, no way he should go in the Top 50 players next year. He'll be a 6th/7th rounder at best. Also, Pierre would only be a steal if he fell down to the late rounds. He only has real value in one category.

michael young will go later than the 5th...6th or 7th round.....his lack of power has been a real disappointment....however his steals have gone up this year...

Jason Bay will go 5th round I think

I agree that Cain will be a steal in the later rounds....I am definitely targeting him next year even though I own him this year and he hasn't gotten me a win in months=p

Zimmerman will probably go a round or two later as he has come out of his slump recently...i got him in the 6th round so look for him to go in the 7th or so.

I definitely think Soriano is going to be a steal next year and I also believe he will go in the 2nd round....I believe he will have a 35/35 season in his 2nd year with the cubs

What do you think about Manny going 3rd/4th round?

Derekk Lee will probably drop to the 5th round imo

Yeah, I think Bay will slip into the 4th/5th round next year in most drafts. Doesn't steal much any more, doesn't hit 45 HRs and with the Pirates he'll never put up the massive RBI + Runs that some other 3rd rounders will.

I think Konerko slips, as he's usually under-hyped and a lot of people fall into the trap of just looking at a guy's total numbers from the previous year. Also when you include the Adrian Gonzo, Prince Fielder class of 1B for next year, Konerko looks to be on the outside of the top-10 1Bs for 2008 in many drafts. This year he was 4th/5th rounder, I think he'll be a 7th or even 8th round steal in 08.

How about Matt Cain? :-?

Well, he certainly underperformed, but the distinguishing question of this post is ... is he a steal (that you would be happy to draft)? Would I even want to "steal" Cain next season? :-°

Bill Hall
Rickie Weeks
Alex Gordon
BIlly Butler
Crawford(maybe a round at most)
Bay
Soriano(Again...maybe just a couple of picks...but that could mean he'll be your 2nd rd pick if you draft late)
Hafner
Berkman
Teixeira
Wells
Andruw Jones
Glaus
McCann
Damon
Oswalt
Felix Hernandez
Street
Jered Weaver
Bonderman
Myers(either sp or closer!)
scott olsen

i could keep going...but ill definately have a list like this for next years draft...i hope i dont have any leagues with any of you guys drafting behind me :-t ...lol

Manny Ramirez will fall pretty far, and i would still gamble on him.

He's been raised twice so far that I've noticed. Do you really think he'll fall past the late second round?

Manny would have to fall pretty far for me to consider him and I still see someone taking him in the top 30. For every one forward thinking person in a draft, there is one living in 2005.
