Postby The_One » Sun Feb 08, 2004 1:04 am

Right now I have Morgan Ensberg Game Used Batting Glove, the one he used in the Championship when he play for the Round Rock Express AA, and its framed authenitcated and in safe keepin. But what i was wonder should I sell it right now or what and see if he produces well enough in the Majors, that I'll get good money and this batting glove was way back from back 3-4 yrs.

With prospects, it's always hard to say. Ensberg could be just another long-forgotten prospect who never made it four years from now, or he could be thriving in the majors... In any case, sounds like a neat item. ;-D

I tend to shoot for the moon with rookie memoribilia. I'd hang on to it and hope that he has a good season. The value would skyrocket. Of course, there's always the chance that he stinks up the place and the glove is worth squat. Probably just a matter of how much you have invested in it.

I am not sure how much money you will get for it. Generally game used batting gloves are not held in high regard. Yesterday someone told me they bought the Raffy Palamerio game used batting gloves from his 496th home run, w/ signature for only 125 bucks, thus Ensberg, even if he hits 35 HR's and has a great year might pull down 45-65 dollars. And the fact that it was from the double-a team hurts the item a bit. Those were given away a plenty in AA, where as his gloves from the majors are worth more. Just what i think though, and if you find the right buyer in Houston then you will obviously score more.

I would hold onto it..I mean if u want money then yes..But if your a hardcore Baseball fan I'd wait and see what he produces..if worst you'll still have a cool item on ur hands (not worth a lot) but still.
