Pick #3

Postby cannonarm21 » Thu Feb 05, 2004 12:56 pm

We determined our draft order yesterday and I got the 3rd pick in a 12 team league. It is pretty much a 5X5 league with the following categories
Offense- Runs,HR,SB,AVG,OPS,RBI
Pitching- W,L,Sv,K,ERA,WHIP

The first 2 picks will be A-Rod and Pujols barring injury. I am really leaning toward Soriano because I feel like 2nd base is fairly weak, plus I love the fact I will be getting some SB's.

Please let me know if you guys think I am making a mistake or if you agree with the pick. Thanks!

I would think about Vlad because Soriano is going to bat eighth in their lineup this year.

Soriano was ranked 48th in OPS last year.

As crazy as it sounds I'd be really tempted to take Helton with the #3 pick. At the very least go with Vlad who usually has around a 1.000 obs

Go with Vlad or Helton & then take Kent or B. Boone later if you are worried about 2nd Base depth ;-D

I wouldn't take Bonds out of consideration at this point. Old yes, but monster on ops. still is going to put up 330 40 110 100 5
