I just need to find out how to divide 1 column by another.

I'm sure there is a very simple formula, I just dont use Excel and I am trying to learn by playing with it (not going very well by the way)

I'm sure the formula looks something like:

(D2:D473) / (C2:C473)

but that doesnt work...

Fantasy sports are ruled by the 50-50-90 rule...

Anytime you have a 50/50 choice between two players, 90% of the time, you'll get it wrong

Do you want to divide the totals, or each individual row?

If you want to divide totals, then your formula will work. make sure it has an = sign in front of it though, so excel recognizes it as a function.

To do it individually, which is usually the case when dealing with stats, do it like this:

=(D2/E2) - make sure you press enter after you put in the formula or it'll go all weird.

Then, click on the cell you put that formula in, and don't let go of the mouse. Drag it all the way to the bottom of the list of players. Now the whole column should be highlighted. Click on Edit; Fill; Down. That should do the trick.

BTW: good luck in manipulating RotoTimes' 2004 hitters projections

I was going through them and customizing them to fit my leagues scoring criteria yesterday. I knew the number 473 sounded familiar I feel like Matlock
