Need help thinking of award/trophy to champ

Postby Sticky Spice » Fri Jan 30, 2004 9:47 am

Our league has always wanted a way to reward our champion with some kind of trophy that reflects the players on their team.

Of course, we're looking for an idea that's reasonably priced. One idea was a framed pic of a baseball diamond with a baseball card of one of his players at each position, but that's gotta be spendy. :-o

Any ideas?

I've got the perfect idea. This is what our league champion got this year.

it's small yet very attractive and with shipping and everything cost me less than $20!

I'll do a similar one this year as well and they have all kinds.

Thanks for the idea, Trev!

But what we had in mind was something that somehow represented the players on the champ's team - so he could look at it and remember who was on his team and maybe even jog his memory so he could remember who helped him win.

Can't you make a certificate on Word and simply type his team on the award certificate. Easy? Yes. Cheap? Yes. Everyone on his team represented? Yes.

Yeah, that's a good idea. I could come up with a cool background and maybe import some cool pics of his players from the internet. Anyone know where to get some good pics of baseball players (not head shots) on the internet?

Interesting...

Baseball cards are cheap enough. You should be able to get a card for each of their players for under $5 total. The framing may be a little more expensive. Just go to a flea-market and buy a framed pic for $2 and mat the certificate and cards yourself.
