I watch every Sox game I can, so here is my take...
On one hand, Jermaine is swinging at bad pitches. The low and away curve/slider is simply a pitch that I haven't seen Dye take this season. On the other hand, he has never been a patient hitter.
When he makes contact, the flyballs seem to land on the warning track, and the groundballs are right at the SS/3B. After checking his babip(http://www.hardballtimes.com/main/stats ... stName=dye
) it appears as though he has been more than unlucky. He and Konerko seem to be prime buy-low candidates at this point.
