So is Vic now the 6th hitter forever? If so, his value doesnt look to good without stolen base attempts.

So victornino is no longer a starter, eh? double header today and phillies didn't start him in either game. or is he just banged up or something?

Dunno what the deal is. He's really been fighting it lately, though.

As stated earlier (or somewhere else on the board), his home splits are terrible.

Maybe the Phil's are catching on, but dealing him may be the best idea with Bourn playing so well for them.

Still, he has been streaky all year...

They give him rest all the time that makes you say wha? Anyways he isn't going to miss time because of Bourn I just don't see it. Your best OF is Bourn, Rowand, Victorino. I don't see a problem with him at the 6th spot or even moving up behind Howard when he warms up again. If they are really going to let Bourn play he will bat second or 8th in the order.

Getting rest and sitting both ends of a double header are two different things.

But I do appreciate the homer persepective, so thanks for that.

Agreed on the best OF being Rowand, Bourn, Victorino. Burrel has been terrible.

We all know Charlie doesn't always do the smartest thing. Either way he had gone what 0-10 before the doubleheader games I believe in the two games before. So maybe they thought he needed some rest. Burrell is horrible and isn't playing at all either. I figure they are resting him because he has been slumping Victorino that is. I wouldn't jump to any conclusion when we are talking about Charlie Manuel and the Phillies because they do some stupid things. ;-D

Back in the two-hole, he's responded so far with 3-4 with his 9th homer and 24th and 25th stolen bases.

Good lord, with the way his power has emerged of late, he could go 20-40. The streakiness is frustrating, but he's been one of the biggest waiver/late round steal of the year.

One of the streakiest players in baseball but when he is hot he is hot!

-Last 3 games 8 for 13 3runs 2HR 2RBI 4SB

On the season compared to major stud OFs:

Victorino: 53runs 10HR 35rbi 27SB .279avg
Ichiro: 57runs 5HR 39rbi 23SB .368avg
Sizemore: 69runs 14HR 45rbi 23SB .282avg
Crawford: 43runs 6HR 49rbi 20SB .281avg
Hart: 41runs 11HR 33rbi 16SB .313avg(227 at bats)

Not bad at all. If he can cut back on his long streaks of not hitting and being benched than he could really come close to 20/50 this year.

Is the power for real though?
