More specifically, I hate Cablevision. I am certainly biased but I am a Comcast employee that unfortunately had to move back to a Cablevision area. Hence, no more free cable, internet, and phone.
Just got my first bill and I was appalled. When I signed up, I was surprised that I could get the Silver package for under $70. Cool. Throw on a couple of boxes and a DVR and let's rock. Well, the bill is obnoxious. A few things stood out to me. I have 4 boxes, including a DVR. On my bill, I am charged for 4 boxes plus a DVR. When I asked them about that, I was told that I pay for the actual box ($6.25) plus the DVR service ($9.95). So, a DVR costs $16.20/month??
I am also used to having the first box included with any digital package. I also noticed a random small charge of $1.50 on my bill. They said that is because I have a digfital package with premium channels and more than 1 box. What are the individual box charges for then??
Sorry for the rant. When I have a base TV package of $67.95 and my total TV charges are $128.79, I am not happy. I was expecting to pay a decent amount more than the base price but almost double??
Comcast does not do this but, apparently, they are missing out on some nice revenue. Might have to bring this up to management.
