The latest on Smoltz, from ESPN.com
News: Smoltz, who left Tuesday's start after three innings, hurt his shoulder while warming up for the inning and re-injured his right pinkie finger in his previous at-bat, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports. The move was said to be mostly precautionary.
Spin: Smoltz dislocated his right pinkie on May 14 so this is a concern. No word yet if he'll miss his next start, but this report doesn't make it sound too serious.
