You couldn't trade Baldelli for a veteran starter and just bring one young guy up? They need a veteran starter in that rotation.
I don't know who to pick here because you both are trying to fix a situation with raw talent when the goal was to get into second place or at least move up. I'll go with the one that didn't try to pull from the Twins bullpen.
I disagree that you need a veteran starter to teach the youngin's. Isn't that what a pitching coach is for? Anyway the rays dont really have any huge strengths at the major league level except some OFs, and I dont think they should go off and trade all their young talent as well. I tried to make the organization better from within. At least that was my goal...
