Now THAT is a clever trade for the D-Rays. ;-D

what are you talking about? have you ever said anything of use to anyone here?

Delmon Young is wildly over-rated , and what do the Devil Rays need?
That's right , pitching.
And who is probably available?
That's right Cordero.
So just let Delmon handicap Washington with his career .328 OBP , and TB can have a killer cheap closer.
Delmon Young = Adrian Beltre.

As a Pirate fan, I'd be pretty pleased if they could add Salty or Kemp in exchange for Snell. I'd much rather them trade Maholm, but there's no way they'll get anything of real value for him.

I'd be asking for more than that for Snell....

Sure, you could ask for more, but I'd be very very happy with a Salty/Snell deal. Personally, I watch Snell pitch and just wonder how long it will be before he blows out his arm, based on his mechanics and increasing reliance on his slider. I think he's a solid #2/3 starter long-term, but the Pirates need some young bats.

even if it were true, young's perceived value is much higher than that.

the d-rays would prefer a starter anyway.

You are correct.
Cordero is the pitcher I thought best fitted TB who had been touted as available.
Delmon for Ian Snell would be a rip off on the scale of the infamous Lopez/Kearns trade of last year.
Could you imagine Snell/Shields/Sonnanstine in 2008 and 2009? OH - MY - GOD.
( I can imagine it because that's the staff on my dynasty team , so in real life :-o :-o :-o :-o :-o :-o :-o :-o :-o :-o :-L :-L :-L :-L :-L :-L :-L :-L :-L :-L :-L :-L :-L )

So? Let him be a late innings defensive replacement.

Then let him take up arm-wrestling on the side

Of course. Louisville slugger always make good bats. But can he use it in a productive run-producing fashion? No.

I know he is majorly hyped and lots of you guys love him , but he won't walk enough to be as awesome as he is touted.
He is pretty much Adrian Beltre jnr. If TB shopped him they could have nearly ANYTHING they wanted because a lot of teams would say "Oh he's only 21 he will get much better". And Mr Under-rated Johnny Gomes could take over in the OF.
It's win-win.
