Absolutely ridiculous. How emotionally scarring would that be for those kids? They are what, 10-11 year olds, having to go through that experience for some drill the teachers thought was making them more knoweldgeable? Fire whoever made that idea.

What happens now if there really was an attack at that school? Will the kids think it is just another drill and not it seriously? Back in school we never took fire alarms seriously... I have heard stories of these type of drills with high school students and the kids take forever to get outside and joke around during the whole thing.

I'd like to hear more of this story. What exactly were the 'teachers' attempting to accomplish with this? Appears to me to be just a sick abuse of power. Those involved certainly should never be allowed in a classroom again.
