Humidor at Coors: use it or lose it?

Moderator: Baseball Moderators

Should the Rockies use a humidor to store their baseballs?

Sure - somthing needs to be done about the Coors factor
No - a baseball should be pitched as is, without modifications
Who cares - baseball has other issues to deal with

Humidor at Coors: use it or lose it?

Postby Arlo » Fri May 10, 2002 3:14 pm

Quite a good discussion about Coors field going. But apart from the effects, do you think it's right that the Rockies should use a humidor to store baseballs?

Personally, I don't like the idea too much, although I'm willing to listen to argument's in its favor. Half the charm of baseball comes from its quirks, such as oddly shaped stadiums, and trying to norm any aspect of the game makes me skeptical. Plus, it opens the door to other modifications.

What do you think?
