Arjen Robben has been Bayern's best player, but of course, no Ribery on the other wing is a minus. I thought UEFA were going to overturn it, but he absolutely deserved to get sent off in that first leg. Anyway, Ribery is a rotten twit, and I have no sympathy for him missing out.
I'm not that excited about the final, really. Fiorentina would've ousted Bayern in the first knockout stage if it weren't for some awful refereeing. United would have hung on to defeat Bayern if it wasn't for some double standard refereeing once again (Rafael got sent off on two flimsy yellows while Badstuber wasn't shown red on an awful tackle on Valencia). Lyon aren't exactly a quality team with respect to the European stage (speaks volumes about Real Madrid, no?
) despite their workrate and if Bayern/United played them, it was a gift of a fixture there. Inter, on the other hand, shouldn't have had that Diego Milito goal stand that put them up 3-1 in the first leg vs. Barca. Likewise, the equalizer that would've sent Barca to Madrid should've been allowed because it wasn't handball on Yaya Toure
, incidental. Terrible refereeing put Bayern in and lousy refs in the Inter-Barca semi help put Inter through. I think Inter have been the better team in the tournament and I do believe they'll win.
