Cardinals have made bad moves?

Postby StLrEdBiRdS2004 » Sat Jan 10, 2004 11:55 pm

A list of bad to average signings for the cardinals this offseason!

1.Greg Vaughn
2.Reggie Sanders
3.Ray Lankford :-t
4.Marlon Anderson
5.Jeff Suppan
6.Julian Tavarez

Come on cardinals, at least act like you want to win the division. Sorry guys I'm mad right now for a lot of reasons, one being a guy named MAD MIKE(MIKE MARTZ).

im actually glad they arent goin after Maddux. I was really hopin they would get Freddy Garcia last season at the trading deadline. Now it looks like were stuck with Jeff Suppan, who is probably a crapshoot.

They seriously signed Greg Vaughn? That's a surprise considering no DH. He might be able to hit a few homers, but keeping his average above the Adam Dunn Line will definately be a challenge.

I believe they signed him to a minor-league contract, so it's no big risk to the Cardinals.

I couldn't agree more that this is pathetic. Ray Lankford ?!?! I guess Andy Van Slyke is too busy.

Suppan should help ease the pain of losing Tomko. 8-o

The only thing better than trading an oft injured player (Drew) is signing an old oft injured player to replace him (Sanders). :-t

I'd rate the off-season moves as :-t :-t :-t :-t out of 5.

At least we have Marlon Anderson. :~(

Your moves have a Cub fan smiling.

It's been a terrible offseason for the Cards. I think they're more focused down the road with resigning Pujols and waiting for the new stadium.

They made a good deal with Wainright. It's a pretty good possibility they'll see how they fare and do something at the deadline. They're kinda behind the 8-ball there as well, because they have one of the worst minors systems in baseball -- w/o much to offer.
