"The Mets did make a competitive offer, but right now his focus is on a couple other teams," Tellem said in a telephone interview. In discussing the potential worth of the Mets' offer, Tellem added: "In total dollars, they made a competitive offer. I had extremely positive conversations with them, but right now he's focused elsewhere."

Looks like he doesn't want to play in the Big Apple.... :-/

Florida anyone.... :-?

floridas first offer was bogus, so says the GM, and he also said he would need to ask Loria for special money to sign a big named guy like pudge last year and he hasnt done that yet.

haha we still got 2 more hours, or more depending on what timezone he is in right now. Alotta deals get hammered out in the night and then u get to wake up to Stu Scott saying, "Breaking news now, its official, Vladimir Guerrero is now a Baltimore Oriole. He signed a 5 year, 67.5 mil dollar deal. All along he was just toying witht he competition and the fans of NYC, but ultimately he wanted to come to baltimore."

The last part would only happen in a perfect world, but the first WILL happen.
