Wakefield or Leiter?

lieter had 139 or so last year to wakefield's 168 or so. I think they both will increase those numbers slightly but I still think Wakefield and his nasty knuckler will get more.

Wakefield...Leiter is now no more than an average pitcher on a crap team.

leiter is done.....wakefield still carries a small amount of value and thus he gets the slight edge.

A 2.15 ERA, 1.17 WHIP and .224 BAA in the second half would lead me to believe that Leiter has some gas left in the tank.

thats great for him to do well but the fact is that full seasons matter more than splits and the upward trend (3.20 in '00 to 3.31 in '01 to 3.48 in '02 to 3.99 in '03) in his era is what i would weigh the most for a 38 year old....maybe im wrong, but i wouldnt draft AL with any measure of confidence

A couple of months ago, this would have been a no brainer for Wakefield.

Now, it's a whole lot closer, but I still give the edge to Wakefield.

id go Wakefield.... He could always run off 10 straight wins again....
realisticly he will get more wins and k's with about the same ERA.
