Yahoo Rotessiere ....1st Time ....Starters Vs. Closers

How are you supposed to balance your pitching staff. I have a total of Ten pitchers including 2 on the bench. I'm trying to learn this stuff quick. Everyone is passing me in the league. Here is my pitching staff. Is there an optimal balance that i need to have to reach maximum potential? There are only 7 teams in our league for some reason, that is why we are doing rotessiere.

SP-Chris Capuano
SP-Bronson Arroyo
SP-Jake Peavy
SP-Aaron Harang
SP-Orlando Hernandez
SP-Daniel Cabrera

RP-Trevor Hoffman
RP-Bobby Jenks
RP-Soloman Torres
RP-Fransico Cordero

DL-Chien-Wing Mang

Sitting on the wire is Javier Vasquez, Mark Prior, Josh Johnson, Jon Garlan & Ted Lilly (SP's)

RP's on the wire are plenty from a variety of teams.

Also, can anyone point towards an overall strategy for playing this game. Please help guys. I kicked butt in fantasy football, but i'm now the laughing stock in fantasy baseball.

Please help, i couldn't be in more need for advice on this stuff.[/b]

How many teams in your league. Your pitching looks fine to me. You have 4 closers, Peavy and Harang will probably help you finish highly in Ks. Other than that your SP are middle of the road. 4 closers means youll probably finish in 1st in saves.

Id drop Cabrera and pick up Lilly, he should be good this year.

First of all welcome to the cafe.

If it is only 7 teams in the league, you need to realize that we are only talking about the top 150 players in baseball. Also it is only the first week, so I wouldn't worry to much about the league passing you.
Is this league daily or weekly? In either case I would have all my closers in the lineup everyday, and simply play the matchups for starters. Also don't be afraid to load up your bench with SP, since they could make solid trade candidates later in the season, and it will give you more "Matchups" to play.

check your game settings, is their a cap on the number of innings you can pitch?
