1. I'd drop or trade Patterson for a Chris B. Young type in a keeper.

2. I'd package up Chipper, maybe Patterson, and Lidge. I'd want a better 3B in a keeper. Chipper's got great name value, but Edwin or Zimmerman would be better for you.

2.a. Lidge is a poor risk to take this year. His leash is short and his confidence is shot. And he kills you in other cats while maybe losing his saves?

3. Trade Maddux as well. You might as well get more young guys.
