Definitive Batting Order

Postby flbtank » Tue Mar 27, 2007 9:09 am

Mostly curious regarding Wright's position in the order. He was originally talked about hitting 5th, but has been hitting 2nd just about every game here recently. I haven't seen anything from randolph stating his lineups...

Any homers have some insight?

a lot of the reason why wright has been batting second recently is because delgado is in Puerto Rico with his new-born child and wife. this has let randolph see how wright can hit in the 2 slot on a regular basis. havin lo duca hit 6th will greatly reduce his value and i think at times wright should hit 2nd but not when lo duca is in the lineup. i was a fan of having beltran hit 2nd at the start of last season but lo duca convinced me that he had the contact ability to hit there.

Maybe we'll see Wright bat in the 2-hole when Lo Duca sits. Lineup looked pretty sharp last night. ;-D
Maine has a good swing for a pitcher but on anything that moves, he has no chance. And if it's a fastball, it has to be up in the zone. Basically, the pitcher has to hit his bat. - Mike Pelfrey

Yeah I'm fine with Chavez in the two-hole also but that only works when Alou or Green sit when Duke does. Whatever I just don't want to see Valentin there again. :)
