The Red Sox yesterday improved their offer to free agent Keith Foulke, according to the Boston Globe. The terms of the new offer weren't revealed. It's believed their previous offer was worth $26 million over four years, with the final year a team option that would kick in automatically if he pitched a certain number of innings in 2006. Foulke could decide between the A's and Red Sox today.
I think he sign with Boston. I just think Beane is driving up the price. That is a lot of money for Oakland to put into their closer.Madison wrote:I think that Foulke will end up with the Red Sox. Personally, I think he wants to stay with the A's, but since the A's don't appear to be getting enough offense to compete, he will go where he has a shot to win it all.
