How do I look? WHIR

Postby chris_dubyuh » Tue Mar 20, 2007 12:44 am

I just drafted this team recently and I wanted some outside opinions on it. I expect good things from Buerhle, so I'm hoping he returns to form in his contract year. I threw in Broxton and Soriano at the end of the draft to help my ratios and to keep them as insurance for Saito and Wickman, respectively. I somehow managed to grab Crede in the 17th so I figured I'd take the value. My average is lacking, but I'm going to remain hopeful that Giambi and Swisher don't runamuck and harikiri my team's average.

2B - D. Uggla (2B) - Not an Uggla fan, I don't know when you got him, but I don't see him as good a player as a lot of people make him out to be. There's a reason he was a 27 year old rookie.

3B - G. Atkins (3B) - The boom/bust potential with this guy is through the roof, even a repeat would be a great value pick, but the potential for more is awesome. But if he regresses, that'll be a tough position to make up on.

OF - A. Soriano (OF) - I think Soriano will flourish in this lineup. I love the Lee/Ramirez tandem.

OF - J. Damon (OF) - Absurd lineup, I'm a Sox fan and I even drafted the guy!

OF - N. Swisher (1B/OF) - With the extra lbs people will whisper three little letters...hopefully the production follows his own inflation.

UT - J. Giambi (1B) - The Giambino!!! Absurd lineup enhanced by having Damon, Jeter, Abreu on the paths for the Giambino!

SP - R. Halladay (SP) - I'm liking him more and more as one of the top 3 SP

Win 2 more and then we'll talk.

I think this team is a boom or bust team. If you get good numbers out of some of your sleepers I think you will have a great year in fantasy. Good luck!!
