Bonds is innocent until proven guilty!

Why blame Bonds, Blame MLB for not having a steriod testing policy.

If you're not cheating you're not trying. ;-D

Yet more evidence of a guy cheating in his contract year. I can't believe people naively assume that just because someone is in there contract year and supposedly decided to concentrate a little more they suddenly put up much better stats. Betlre is a good example. I don't buy. Now we know why Gary Mathews got better. You know what even if the guy didn't do, he's a complete idiot for doing anything that in anyway connected his name with these bozos in Florida.

Although, this isn't a bash on MLB. The NFL far worse - just look at Merriman, guy gets caught doing drugs, misses a few games then goes to the pro bowl. What a great example that is! If you cheat you should be done.

In the corporate world, if you cheat (eg commit fraud) and get caught penalties have become mush harsher. Why do we let athletes off lighter?

Well this is relevant to fantasy baseball because it suggests that this year he may be able to keep up his numbers - simply because he's on the juice, or has been recently. Next year? I'd avoid him like the plague.

Does anyone know a good stats database where we can look up players shoe size over time? That's how I'm drafting from now on.

A new development...

Rotoworld wrote:According to documents reviewed by Sports Illustrated reporters Luis Fernando Llosa and L. Jon Wertheim, Gary Matthews Jr. ordered HGH from an Orlando pharmacy in Aug. 2004.
In August 2004, he was allegedly sent Genotropin -- a brand of synthetic human growth hormone typically prescribed to children suffering from growth failure -- at an address in Mansfield, Texas. The reporters traced the address and found it to be a residence of a former minor league teammate of Matthews', who said that he is friends with Matthews. The reporters further discovered that Matthews received a prescription for HGH through a doctor at Health Watch, a now-defunct anti-aging clinic in south Florida.

when are people going to understand that there is no test for HGH, which is the most popular steroid around...and when are people going to realize that well over 50%, probably around 75% of the league has done steroids at some point in their career.
