Gary Matthews, Jr. - Juiced?

Postby Super Manny » Tue Feb 27, 2007 6:25 pm

According to sources close to the matter, Angels centerfielder Gary Matthews, Jr. has been named as a client of Applied Pharmacy Services of Mobile Alabama, a business that has been targeted in ongoing grand jury investgation for illicit Internet drug sales. Although the "products" ordered and obtained by Matthews have not yet been identified by authorities, one can assume that steroids and HGH are the most plausable possibilities. Heavyweight champion boxer Evander Holyfield has also had his name released as a customer of the pharmacy.

I don't see how this is newsworthy. This will only develop into a flame war involving Bonds.

It would explain his 2006 season.

I'm not surprised at all.

Well considering he has been cut from 4 different teams over the last few years, while making roughly the major league minimums, and now he just got paid to the tune of 50 million ...
.. I would gamble most people in his shoes would say,

"it was worth it."

I would!

Yay! Lets speculate indiscriminantly about stuff that's irrelevant to baseball before we actually know any facts! Remember how fun and productive it's been every other time we've done it? :-B
