So does anybody know how Shandler decides who's left on base percentages are worth noting? I know he says 70 percent is average and you should expect decline or rise depending on which side of the 70 percent they are, but there are a lot of top tier pitchers above that 70 percent mark.
It is interesting to see Randy Johnson 9 percent under 70 though.
So, Chris Young is the guy we should be worried about with the low era, and we should look for a turn for the better in Randy Johnson, Joel Pineiro, Paul Byrd, Matt Morris and Javier Vazquez. That seems about right to me.
Oswalt, Zito and Verlander are pretty close to that 80 percent mark.
