12 Team 5x5 Roto League

This was my first draft of the year and I worry that I took too many risks and my OFs came out pretty weak...

C) Joe Mauer
1B) David Ortiz
2B) Julio Lugo
3B) Freddy Sanchez
SS) Felipe Lopez
OF) Alexis Rios, JD Drew, Nick Swisher
UT) Mark Teixeira
BN) Frank Thomas, Ian Kinsler, BJ Upton

SP) Carlos Zambrano, Daisuke Matsuzaka, AJ Burnett, Kelvim Escobar, Ted Lilly, Kenny Rogers, Mark Mulder (last round pick, I know he's not pitching until later)
CP) Eric Gagne, BJ Ryan

I was thinking of trying to trade Ortiz to fill one of the holes...

I don't see too many risks here - only Thomas, Burnett, and Gagne. If two of those guys have productive years, you win. That will probably happen, I think too. You are right about the OF. Ortiz could land you a Crawford or Beltran or a Sizemore combination, because you need a littel bit mroe speed. Thomas will fill in Util as Tex fills 1B. That is a nice start on improving your team. ... p?t=253487

You need to get a solid OF (like Crawford)
